From an early days of my paintings the miniature paintings of the Mughal era charmed me. Their intricate details and storytelling styles in bright and vibrant hues are a true stealer. Inspired by this style and the mythological stories I present this series on 'Vrindavan'. In this painting'the Lone damsel', is about a lady waiting in the forest for her lover. The peacock is her companion in loneliness while the 'hanuman' (the monkey) perched in the tree is for her safeguarding. Rich colors and varied textures breathe life into the landscape. This painting will make one to pause and reflect, will draw one towards storytelling. It is a captivating piece that immediately creates visual interest.
